The Met has released photos of their upcoming Parsifal production with Jonas Kaufmann and Katarina Dalayman. From the looks of it their will be a lot of blood involved in the production and it looks visually striking.
I can't wait to see this. What a dream cast -- Kaufmann, Dalayman, and Pape. Kaufmann is simply the best tenor in the world. The best Werther, the best Calvaradossi, the best Lohengrin, the best Siegmund, the best Parsifal, the best Italian singer in Der Rosenkavalier, etc., etc. I expect I will be adding the best Parsifal to the list after I have heard him singing this role.
